creative case just for fun - inspired by Absalon in Copenhagen
For a long time, I avoided working with artificial intelligence. It felt like a technology that would erase sincerity and replace realness with a plastic copy. A grumpy old lady inside me resisted embracing the new. But I admit—I was wrong. I've been learning to work with AI, and now I want to share some of the fun things I've created.
AI offers a unique opportunity to generate stunning illustrations and photos in various styles quickly, copyright-free, and at a low cost. It’s also an exciting way to boost creativity and bring impossible ideas to life.
I randomly picked a few events from their calendar and started creating illustrations:
Absalon is one of my favorite places in Copenhagen, a true home of creativity. Every time I attend a workshop, shared dinner or just visit the website my eyes light up.
The first in line was yoga for pregnant women - I immediately imagined how the baby inside the mother's belly was also stretching and sitting in a meditative pose.
To be honest, the AI was against me in this case and said that my thoughts were somehow limited in their service, so I separately generated mothers and babies and then united them.

The process of the creation. I wanted to keep the kind of 'retro collage' style of Absalon and mix of ornaments and colours, but add something new and modern.
Croquis drawing is all about capturing quick, expressive sketches of live models. Since the poses change rapidly, I wanted to reflect that diversity in my art and use a pencil drawing style.

Describing all the poses to AI was both hilarious and challenging, especially when modeling letters from them. But I truly enjoyed the process!
For this event, I wanted to create illustrations in a plasticine style. I love its metaphorical meaning—being flexible and adaptable, just like plasticine. It also carries a nostalgic, retro vibe, reminding me of old-school plasticine cartoons from my childhood.

I love this design and retro-orange color palette!
The final piece in this project is a poster for a shared dinner event. I think this is Absalon’s signature experience—a fantastic way to spend an evening and meet new people.
The poster naturally follows a retro aesthetic, depicting a scene where many different hands—both men’s and women’s—reach out for simple yet delicious food.
